FREE Exhibition Curator Tour - Un/Common People
Taking place on Wednesday 7th January 2025, 11am - 12.30pm.

Simon Costin will be giving a tour of our latest exhibition, Uncommon People: Folk Culture in Wessex. Simon is in the process of establishing the UK’s first ever museum dedicated to the seasonal customs and events that happen every year in the UK, from May Day events, such as Jack in the Green, through to various summer rites and onto the autumn and winter customs, involving fire, burning barrels and bonfires.
Join us as Simon takes us through the creation of the exhibition and the processes involved in researching this unique and much overlooked subject.
