FREE Coastal Collage Workshop

Saturday 4th July 2026, 10am - 12pm and 1 - 3pm

Ever wanted to try your hand at collage? Join Coasts In Mind and artist Jodie House for a free, creative workshop exploring the theme of coastal change in Poole Harbour.

Produce your own collage exploring the theme of coastal change in Poole Harbour using images donated to the Coasts in Mind project archive. The archive is documenting 100 years of coastal change from the public perspective and contains a wealth of fascinating images and maps from the last century to get creative with.

Each two-hour session will include a quick introduction to the Coasts in Mind Project followed by a guided workshop on collage making, finishing with a moment of reflection to share the themes you’ve addressed in your collage with the group. The Coasts In Mind team would love to scan completed artworks for inclusion in the Coasts in Mind exhibition in Poole Museum, but don’t worry this isn’t compulsory if you’d rather keep your creation to yourself.

You’re encouraged to bring along a photograph of a meaningful coastal place or memory from Poole Harbour. We can scan and print it during the session so you can include it in your artwork.

Everyone is welcome, no experience necessary.
